It is a condition to NOT be Covid positive on race day to participate in the event. We do not require proof of a negative Covid-19 test, but we strongly encourage all participants to self-test before coming to the event.

Personal Accident Insurance

Under the regulations of the Commissioner of Sports, Malaysia, it is a requirement that all participants in sanctioned events must have a Personal Accident insurance. Borneo Ultra Trails is taking out a Group Personal Accident insurance to cover this requirement.

We wish to state that this is to cover the regulatory requirements only, & will provide only minimal medical coverage. We strongly recommend runners to ensure that they have adequate insurance cover of their own.

Transfers, Cancellation & Refunds

Given the current uncertainties related to the development in the Covid-19 pandemic and the associated regulations, there is an inherent risk of postponement or cancellation of the event. If Borneo Ultra Trails is forced to postpone or cancel the event, we will continue with our policy of providing a choice between deferring the registration to the new event day (assuming there is a postponement) OR receive a full refund of the entry fee.

Not withstanding the above, the following applies:

  • Payments are non-refundable (except in the case of race postponement or cancellation - see above).
  • Runners may request a bib swap or transfer before closure of normal registrations with an admin fee charge of RM30 per request.
  • Change of category is not possible after close of entries.

2) Payment via Paypal / Credit Card, which incurs bank charges.

Please note that there are admin fees associated with Paypal and Credit Card. If you pay with Paypal or Credit Card, your confirmation will be immediate upon payment.
